DTI’s Design Center Promise to Run Design Week Philippines in 9 Days!





    To commemorate the Design Week Philippines, the Department of Trade and Industry’s Design Center of the Philippines aims to call as well as to show support to the creative community.

    In line with this, the DTI- Design Center supports the advancement of the creative groups of our country incorporating its tagline “Design Tribes.”

    The Design Week Philippines started last April 14, 2018, and it will run until April 22, 2018. For those interested to participate in Design Week Philippines, you can visit and join the fun in Plaza Moriones, Intramuros, Manila.

    In order to fulfill its promises, the DTI-Design Center has gathered 41 partners, conducted 32 events in 16 venues within the Metro Manila. DTI-Design Center promises for the participants and design enthusiasts are the following:

    • Hands-on Workshops
    • Exhibitions
    • Art Booths
    • Outdoor Film Showing
    • Design Talks and Tours
    • Weekend Market

    DTI-Design Center Aims To Empower Millennials

    The DTI-Design Center firmly believes that the millennials and Generation Z can bring out the creativity in them. Despite the problems of our fellow citizens are facing these past few months.

What they and can do, and will do will definitely shape and influence lifestyles, products, services, and industries in the coming years.”

    Moreover, the DTI Design Center will highlight new engagement platforms. As well as conduct events wherein people, can gather, learn and build on each other’s’ ideas.

    Design Week Philippines’ Workshops on April 21, 2018

    DTI-Design Center along with the collaboration with 41 partners make the following workshops possible:

    • Poetry Making
    • Smartphone Film Making
    • Kite Making and Kite Flying Activity
    • Face Painting

    Design Week Philippines’ Special Feature

    There would be a travel journaling workshop with none other than Abbey Sy set on April 22, 2018.
